Dana Clumpus
Dana received her Degrees in Bachelor of Education and Child and Youth Studies from Brock University in 2014. Dana moved to Koh Samui, Thailand in 2016 from Ontario, Canada to fulfill the position as the Foundation teacher at Lamai International School to continue her passion for teaching young minds. Dana has various experiences working at different schools in all grades from Foundation to Year 6 as well as with many children of different learning abilities. In her current role as Headmistress Dana strives to maintain a fun and welcoming school environment while implementing various effective schoolwide techniques and strategies to cater to all students and their way of learning and grasping concepts taught throughout the year. Dana strongly believes it is important for students to explore their interests, imagination and creativity and encourages all students to use these skills in their everyday learning. She is very passionate about teaching young minds, as well as modelling and instilling good morals and manners into all students. Dana has a teaching philosophy that is strongly rooted in the development of the whole child; where the student’s physical, social, intellectual, and emotional development are all taken into consideration.
